Are you looking for NDIS Job Skills Coaching in Canberra? Then you're in the right spot.

If you're ready to build confidence and want to learn how to join in the work, we can help. Job coaching helps you grow your skills at your own pace.

A Job Can Feel Overwhelming

You might want to work, but don’t know where to start.

Maybe you've tried working a job before but it didn’t go well.

Or you could be ready to try something new, but you need some guidance first.

That’s where job coaching fits in.

What Is Job Skills Coaching?

It’s support to help you get ready for a job or work..

  • You might learn how to write a resume.
  • Or how to talk to your boss.
  • You could practice catching the bus to work.

A Focus On Real-Life Skills

We look at your goals and build a plan around them.

These usually involve building skills like confidence, time management, and problem-solving.

You decide what matters most to you and your goals.

The NDIS Can Cover Job Coaching

If you're an NDIS participant, this support can be funded. Your coordinator can help you find the right category.

  • It usually sits under Capacity Building.
  • Sometimes it's in School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES).

You Don’t Need To Figure It Out On Your Own

There are people who can help. So you can focus on learning - and not stressing.

What Job Coaching Usually Looks Like

Job coaching is different for everyone.

The point is - job skills aren't just about the job. They're about everything around it, too.

Some people want help finding a job. Others want to try volunteering first. Some just want to learn how a workplace works.

You might work on:

  • Interview skills
  • Setting alarms and getting ready on time
  • Catching transport
  • Reading payslips
  • Dealing with stress
  • Asking for help at work

How Often Does It Happen?

That depends on you. You and your coach choose what works best.

Some coaching happens online. Other times, you meet face-to-face.

Some people meet their coach once a week. Others do short sessions more often.

It can be at your home, at a support hub, or in the community.

Can I Choose What I Learn?

Yes. There’s no set path. It’s flexible and based on what you need. No pressure or rush.

If you want to start with goal-setting, that’s where you begin. If you’re nervous about talking to people, that’s what you practise.

What Happens After Coaching?

There’s no “right” next step - it’s your choice.

You might feel ready to apply for work or maybe enrol in a course.

You could also volunteer or join a workplace program.

Some People Do More Coaching Later On

You’re not locked into anything. Others keep in touch only when they need it.

Support is there when it helps and when you need it.

A Typical Coaching Session

Every session is practical and relaxed. No tests or pressure.

Here’s how it might go:

  • You meet your coach at a café or office.
  • You talk about your week - what went well and what was hard.
  • You look at your job goals together.
  • Maybe you practise interview questions.
  • Or roleplay how to handle a difficult customer.

At the end, you agree on something to try before next time.

Who Is It For?

You might be 17 or 57 - it doesn’t matter. You might be trying work for the first time. Or you might be looking for a fresh start.
